YepPhoto doesn't ask you to sign up, and it works on your photo in your browser without uploading it. It uses Google Analytics to count visits and how often the tool is used. This page explains what information is handled when you visit and who is responsible for it.
Who is responsible
YepPhoto is run by Masaaki Morishita, who decides how the information described on this page is used. For questions about it, email hello@yepphoto.com.
Your photo
The tool on the home page works on your photo in your browser. Your browser reads the photo from your device, and the page crops it and makes the saved files there. The photo isn't sent to a server, and YepPhoto has no server that receives photos. YepPhoto doesn't keep the photo after you close the page. The digital photo and the print sheet you save carry no camera metadata (EXIF), such as the camera model, the date, or the location. Your checklist answers aren't saved or sent either. The Methods and Sources page explains how to check that nothing is sent.
So you can share or reopen the same setup, the tool adds the paper size and the number of photos you choose to the page's address (the part after the ?). It never puts the photo in the address or in your browser's storage. Anyone you share the address with can see the paper size and number of photos, and your browser may keep the address in its history. When you open or reload an address that holds them, or go from that page to another YepPhoto page (as the address of the page you came from), Cloudflare, which hosts the site, receives the full address and may record it in its logs. Google Analytics receives the address without that part.
Visit statistics
YepPhoto uses Google Analytics 4, a service from Google, to see which
pages are visited and how often the tool is used. It sets two cookies on
this site for up to two years: _ga holds a random identifier
for your browser, so that repeat visits can be counted, and
_ga_ followed by an ID keeps track of your current visit.
It records information such as the page you visit, the site that linked to it, your approximate location (country, region, and city, worked out from your IP address), your browser and its language, your operating system, device type, and screen size, the time of your visit, whether you scroll to the bottom of a page, and the links you follow to other sites, including their addresses. When you open a photo in the tool, save a digital photo, or print or save a print sheet, it records which one you did, the kind of output, and, for a print sheet, the paper size. It doesn't record anything about the photo itself, its size or file name, your checklist answers, or the paper size and number of photos in the page's address. Google Analytics doesn't log or store IP addresses.
To stop Google Analytics from collecting data in your browser, install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. See Google's privacy policy and how Google uses information from sites that use its services for how Google handles this information.
Hosting
YepPhoto is hosted on Cloudflare. To deliver pages, report pages that fail to load, and protect the site from attacks, Cloudflare processes technical information about each request, such as your IP address, your browser, and the address requested. Your photo isn't part of any request. If Cloudflare needs to check that a visitor isn't a bot, it may set a cookie for that check. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for how it handles this information.
Advertising
YepPhoto doesn't show ads and doesn't use advertising cookies.
If you email hello@yepphoto.com, Cloudflare Email Routing forwards the message to the operator's inbox. Your email address and message are used only to read and act on what you sent. They aren't sold or used for marketing.
Children
YepPhoto isn't directed at children under 13 and doesn't knowingly collect personal information from them.
Your requests
To ask what information about you YepPhoto holds, or to have it corrected or deleted, email hello@yepphoto.com.
Changes to this policy
When YepPhoto starts or stops using a service that handles your information, including ads, this page is updated at the same time, and the date at the top changes.
